Fireblocks Facilitates Institutional Access to Cosmos ‘Internet of Blockchains’

Fireblocks, a leader in providing a wide range of blockchain support, has broadened its support for the Cosmos ecosystem, thereby facilitating institutional access to the ‘Internet of Blockchains’, according to a recent company blog post.

About Cosmos

Cosmos is a decentralized network made up of hundreds of interconnected blockchains, all built on open-source Cosmos technology. It is often referred to as the ‘Internet of Blockchains.’ Cosmos is currently the second-largest blockchain ecosystem, after Ethereum. The Cosmos network is designed to solve some of the toughest issues in the blockchain space, including scalability, usability, and interoperability. The IBC Protocol (Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol) enables different blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem to communicate directly with each other.

Fireblocks’ Support for Cosmos

As part of their expanded support, Fireblocks offers institutional access to many of the top appchains within the Cosmos ecosystem. Some of these supported appchains include Cosmos Hub (ATOM), Osmosis (OSMO), Celestia (TIA), dYdX (DYDX), Axelar (AXL), Kava (KAVA), Injective (INJ), and Thorchain (RUNE). Fireblocks customers can securely custody these tokens, access DeFi, and engage in staking.

Future Plans

Fireblocks aims to extend its support for Cosmos further by adding more blockchains. Some of the blockchains expected to be added include Sei (SEI), Noble (USDC), and Berachain (BERA). In the coming weeks, Fireblocks will be providing a detailed insight into their support for Cosmos, with new blogs highlighting the different Cosmos blockchains they support.
