Side-scrolling action RPG, Chronos: Dawn of Time, launches into open beta. Anyone can download the game through the Elixir app and get a beta code to try out this game alpha, which includes PvP and PvE game modes.

Chronos: Dawn of Time, brings their multiplayer RPG to open beta, launching on the increasingly popular Elixir platform. Elixir is well on their way to establishing themselves as the Steam of web3 gaming!

To get into Chronos, players will need a beta code. These can be acquired by joining their Discord server and submitting a request ticket.

To help promote the launch, Chronos is holding a special contest. Players can enter by joining the new Ambush mode match. Ambush mode features one to four players fighting in an arena against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. The contest offers a prize of $100. To participate, play Ambush mode, and then post a screenshot of your best result #ambush-challenge section of the Chronos Discord server. You are allowed to make multiple entries if you best your previous top score.

Players don’t need to own any NFTs to play, but bootstrapping yourself up after your initial gear wears out is not an easy process. Finding enough resources to craft is a long process, and the gear wears out quickly. Players can purchase game NFTs on Open Sea (Travelers – Items)

What is Chronos?

Chronos is a multiplayer, side-scrolling, RPG game. Players share a central social hub with shops, crafting stations and such. They then venture through the portal to join a match. Chronos features several game modes, including team PvP, survival arena PvE, and a mixed PvE / PvP mode.

Players can earn crafting resources and Dark Aether tokens by playing matches. But each character has limited energy, which refills slowly over time. Players can spend crystals to upgrade their character stats and spend skill points acquired in-game to also improve and customize their characters with special abilities.

Avatars begin naked, but can equip various weapons and armor. A couple of starter quests help provide the player with basic gear. However, this gear wears down with use, and there is no repair option! On the other hand, NFT items do not wear down, making them very useful to own! At the moment, there actually isn’t much NFT gear available to buy, but the team says there will be a sale in the future as well as an option for those who own Travelers to mint NFTs.

Travelers are the NFT avatars for the game and come with stat boosts and other bonuses.
