Coachella Music Festival will feature a blockchain-based game called Coachella Quests, developed in collaboration with Ava Labs, the company behind the Avalanche blockchain.

The game aims to offer attendees the chance to earn perks and upgrades by completing quests both at the festival and on the Coachella Discord server.

Participants can earn “stamps” and points by completing challenges, which can be exchanged for exclusive benefits such as access to the Oasis VIP lounge, unreleased music, and rare NFTs.

One notable prize includes an NFT accompanied by two guest passes for the 2025 festival.

Elevating the Coachella Experience

The game will provide Coachella organizers with insights into attendee interactions and preferences during the event.

To facilitate the gaming experience, Coachella is launching the Canvas app, where attendees can create a Canvas Card, document their experiences, access rules and prize redemption details.

Paul Chodirker, Director of Enterprise Business Development at Ava Labs, shared: “The real purpose behind the program is to engage users. It’s not for data retention or to learn exactly who these individuals are. It is to have attendees who have already bought the ticket, and are already going to enjoy the festival, to have an elevated experience.”

The partnership between Coachella and Ava Labs builds on previous blockchain ventures, including partnerships with FTX US and despite previous challenges, Coachella remains committed to exploring blockchain opportunities.
