Ember Sword, a highly anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), has announced its official Alpha Playtest phase. The development team, Bright Star Studios, has been working to create an engaging and immersive game for players worldwide.

The Alpha Playtest has been scheduled for April 18th and 19th, 2023. PlayTest 1 will run from 10:00 CEST to 23:59 CEST on the first day, and PlayTest 2 will run for the same duration on the second day. This will be followed later in the year with the the Beta release/second Playtest arriving in August.

Prior to the Playtests, Ember Sword will host a live stream on April 17th. The stream will feature a Q&A session with Senior Community Manager Thor Østenkær and Ember Sword Game Director Max Zimnukhov. During the live online event, the team will showcase its current Alpha gameplay, which will be available on the Ember Sword Twitch channel and later uploaded as a full VoD on their YouTube channel.

Anyone who has a verified Ember Sword account will be able to participate in the Playtests. However, due to limited capacity, participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those unable to attend the first Playtest due to high demand will be able to participate in the next event in August.

Players will be able to take part in five main questlines: “The Capital,” “A Crafting Expedition,” “The Bandit Threat,” “The Treasure Hunt,” and “The Arena.” Each questline will provide a different experience, encompassing various gameplay mechanics, such as PvE combat, resource collection, exploration, puzzle-solving, and PvP combat. Furthermore, the expansive open world of Ember Sword will be accessible for players to discover hidden treasures, secret locations, and formidable foes.

Ember Sword Still in Development

Once players have completed the Playtest, they will be encouraged to provide feedback about their experience. Bright Star Studios values input from the community and will use it to improve the game’s ongoing development.

The game will be accessible through any device with sufficient internet connection and the minimum version of Chrome 108 or Edge 108,  and each playtest session will run for a limited time of up to 30 minutes.

In conclusion, the Ember Sword Alpha Playtest is an exciting opportunity for players to get a sneak peek into the game’s development and provide feedback to help shape the game’s overall experience. While the Playtest is not a finished version, it will offer players a glimpse into the game’s mechanics and immersive world. With two Playtests scheduled for this year, there is plenty of opportunity for players to participate and help improve the game.
