Gods Unchained announces plans to move their login system over to the Immutable Passport, paving the way for onboarding new players in a much more seamless manner. With more games signing up to use the Immutable Passport, you might as well take this opportunity to get one for yourself!

Gods Unchained has announced plans to migrate their login systems over to the Immutable Passport in late November / early December. Once implemented, players will be required to use an Immutable Passport login in order to access the game.

For those who don’t want to use this new login system, Gods Unchained is happy to show you the door! In their official FAQ, they state “you are free to choose not to migrate to Immutable Passport. If that’s the case, you can request to delete your account using the CS ‘Delete Account’ service.” So clearly they’re not playing around here!

The main purpose behind this is to make sign-in as simple as possible, without requiring a password or any sort of reCAPTCHA tech. Players won’t need to create an entirely new login. They can just use their existing Google or Apple accounts for quick access, or sign up with an email, which will then require a code verification on login, but will still be simpler than the current setup.

And to encourage early adoption, Gods Unchained plans to offer a special Passport Cardback to those who log in through the Immutable Passport within the first week (official date not yet announced).

This first phase is for login only, and does not involve using the Immutable Passport as a wallet. That will come later, though the Gods Unchained team says that using the Immutable Passport as a wallet will not be required to play.

Though the connection to Gods Unchained is not yet live, you can still get ahead of the game by setting up your Immutable Passport at https://www.immutable.com/gamers/passport. Sign-up is simple, quick, and easy, and takes only a minute.

What is the Immutable Passport?

The Immutable Passport is a combined wallet, login, and profile system. It is designed to make it easier for players to onboard and access games within the Immutable ecosystem. Players can sign up for the Passport with an Apple or Google login, or through an email address, and then have a single point login for all of the games and apps on the Passport system!

This will expand in the future to include wallet integration as well as social profiles for players.

Player who sign up for the Passport can already pre-register for access to Guild of Guardians and Shardbound. And in fact, using your Passport to sign up for Shardbound will put you in line to receive a free, playable game card!

What is Gods Unchained?

Gods Unchained is a free-to-play, collectible card game. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Gods Unchained uses the Immutable X layer-2 solution for gas-free trading. Players retain full ownership over their cards. Players can earn digital ‘Core’ cards by playing the game. When a player has two identical Core cards, they can mint these into one blockchain-based card. That card is then tradeable on the markets.

Gods Unchained offers several play and earn opportunities. Players can earn cards by being active players, win packs while competing in the weekend tournaments, and can even receive payments of GODS tokens simply for playing every day!

With several expansions its belt, Gods Unchained has a wide variety of cards for different playstyles. Players can buy and open packs from the official site. Secondary sales are available on the Immutable X Marketplace and Token Trove.
