Heroes of Mavia Alpha Gameplay Features

Heroes of Mavia is a base builder game that has announced the features of alpha gameplay. The newly announced features include Birds-Eye view, user interface, HQ level, key resources, base close-up, cosmetic upgrades, and more. The official alpha gameplay footage was released on October 1, 2022, which showed a glimpse of the Mavia 3D buildings, characters, and UI designs. The official version of the game is expected to launch in Q4 of 2022.

Gameplay Features

In Heroes of Mavia, players can view the bases in either a birds-eye view from the top or through a close-up look. In a birds-eye view, the base builder tool will allow players to construct defenses and manage daily activities. Players can strategically place different defense structures to protect the base and gather resources.

The user interface has also received some UI changes along with improvements. A Heroes of Mavia live chat can now be opened from the screen top left. Players can chat with fellow users during the game to increase interaction. The UI also displays the user’s profile picture along with XP and NFT art. Under the “Resources” category, you can view your troop statistics and manage resources. You can also increase your HQ level from the “Resources” option to access better troops and structures.

Key resources such are Oil and Gold can be managed by monitoring the current resource levels on the top right of the screen. By keeping an eye on these parameters, users can get a rough estimate of the required resource. Other options, such as beginning an Battle and accessing the Armory, are located on the screen’s bottom.

3D Troops and Building Mechanics

The troops and buildings are 3D assets in Heroes of Mavia. The 3D combat animations and movement make the characters more realistic. To enhance these characters, players can select from a wide variety of cosmetic upgrades for troops, also available for buildings and bases. 

Under building mechanics, the walls on placing automatically join with the nearest wall on its four sides. The player-friendly wall connection features make it easier to adjust the structures. The troops are positioned around these walls and buildings known as Rally Points. The Rally Points help guard your base’s critical positions and maximize the value of troops.

What is Heroes of Mavia? 

Heroes of Mavia is a base-building play-to-earn game on the Ethereum blockchain. Built by Skrice Studios based in Vietnam, the game’s developers took inspiration from Axie Infinity and Clash of Clans to create this game. The game features a fantasy island called Mavia. On this island, players have to build bases and battle against other players to win $RUBY tokens. 

There are 3 types of NFTs in Mavia: Hero NFT, Land NFT, and Statue NFT. The land NFT holders get exclusive access to the internal alpha testing of the game. Currently, there are 10,000 plots of land NFTs in the Heroes of Mavia game. 

To start playing the game, players must own or control a base which can be done by buying, renting, or leasing an NFT plot through the Mavia marketplace. Once you have built the base, you can set up traps, turrets, and walls to prevent other players from attacking your base. The game will have its own governance token MAVIA which will be launched soon, and the official version of the Heroes of Mavia is expected to release by the end of 2022.
