Illuvium partners with DeQuest, to bring us a special Illuvium Christmas event. Complete quests on the DeQuest site to earn points and potentially win prizes. New quests open every day through December 25th.
The special, Illuvium Christmas quest began on December 1st and runs through December 25th. Each day new quests open. And players can always go back and finish quests from previous days.
Some of the quests are simple, such as owning one ILV token. Others may require owning numerous lands. My personal favorite section of the quests is one where they check how many hours of strategy games you have played on Steam. It took a little time before my Steam account synced up with DeQuest. But once it did, that was an easy 1,000 points to collect!
But many of the daily selections of quests seems to be focused on social media, community interaction, and partnerships. And since this is an Advent Calendar themed event, new quests open up every day though the 25th. So you’ll have to keep checking in to discover new ways of earning points.
Players spend their points to buy raffle tickets for various items. There are currently six different raffles, with others potentially opening up over the coming weeks.
It’s not too late to join! You can start now at https://beta.dequest.io/games/illuvium
What is DeQuest?
DeQuest is a site that offers a gameified, educational introduction to NFTs, blockchain gaming, and even specific projects. Similar to the old Coinbase learn and earn initiatives, players read articles about games, NFTs, and the tech behind them, and then answer a quiz to earn points. As players gain levels from these points, they earn special Badges.
Joining is free. Players can connect wallets from a number of different blockchains, and also link their Steam account. DeQuest features a three paths of basic learning quests — the investor, the player, and the collector.
DeQuest is still relatively new and in beta. But the system is an interesting one. And though some of the quizzes I could answer without reading the articles, others actually introduced me to games that I wasn’t familiar with.

What is Illuvium?
Illuvium is an open-world RPG adventure game built the Ethereum blockchain, and using the Immutable X layer. Players journey across a vast and varied landscape to hunt and capture creatures, or Illuvials. Together with their little tamed creatures, players are tasked with discovering what caused the cataclysm that shattered the world.
Though the core Illuvium game is an open-world adventure game that is part auto-battler and part creature collector, the Illuvium web3 space encompasses more. For example, the upcoming Illuvium Zero will be a land-based builder game. However, this game will still have ties into the main game by producing resources that can be used in Illuvium Overworld.
Illuvium Overworld, the open-world, RPG, will feature over 100 Illuvials to capture, each with different attributes and powers. Capture them, upgrade them and combine two Iluvials to fuse a new one. Gamers earn ILV tokens through play and become part of the community through token ownership. Players can store their Illuvials on Shards, a bit like a collectible card. These cards hold the essence of an Illuvial. Players can trade shards in the marketplace or give them to a friend.
Illuvium has its own marketplace known as the IlluviDex.This will serve as a central point for trading all things Illuvium related in the future, but for now, only land trading is available. Illuvium also includes player governance in the form of a Council that goes through regular election periods.
