Walken, a rising force in the Move-to-Earn genre of blockchain gaming, has unveiled a wave of exciting new features to be introduced.

Amongst the new developments on the roadmap are a game, seven additional support languages, and a Wheel of Fortune to reward active players.

The game utilizes the blockchain to blend a healthy lifestyle with gaming and earning.

The project has already surpassed 1 million users to date, with peaks of over 20,000 new daily users across July and August 2022.

What is more, Walken’s user base is predicted to double by Q4 2022, as it continues to grow in significance worldwide.

Commenting on the growth, Walken co-founder and CEO Alexei Kulevets said: “One of the main challenges of any gamified Web3 project is to make it both fun and sustainable, especially a free2play one. With Walken, we are proving the point that it’s possible. We are grateful to our amazing community and work hard to make it even better”.

Thus far, Russia holds Walken’s biggest user base with 19.6%, followed by Ukraine (10.4%), India (7.34%), and Vietnam (5.13%).

Move-to-Earn Era is Upon Us

Fitness enthusiasts love to motivate each other and the gamification of fitness is a natural winner for the community worldwide.

Web3 has given rise to a plethora of interesting options for gamers, who can now earn whilst living a healthy lifestyle.

Indeed, adding financial incentives to the grueling grind of daily training has been a major development in gaming, with the potential for exponential growth.

Hence, Walken plans to take full advantage of the trend and build an ecosystem for fitness enthusiasts on the blockchain.

A roadmap filled with promise

As the Walken team unveiled its latest roadmap, some of the standout features were the increased localization support, with seven additional languages and

60 million community-generated tokens to re-invest in Walken.

Furthermore, the team revealed that a new game, featuring the ‘CAThletes’, is in development and will be released separately.

For dedicated players, Ranking systems depicting player activity and achievements will be introduced, as well as a Wheel of Fortune to reward active players (on both Android and iOS).

Additionally, The Walken Ambassador program will support local communities and a dedicated referral program is on the way, with associated bonuses.

These developments represent Walken’s strong focus on community building and reflect its lofty long-term goals in Web3.

Move with your mobile

At present, Android is leading the way for Walken, with over 7,000 new unique daily users, compared with 1,000 on iOS.

Walken is a Move-to-Earn mobile app, built by a team that uses movement detection capabilities to capture the step count of users.

Consequently, players are then rewarded with WLKN tokens for in-app gameplay and NFTs.

Developed by the team behind Appyfurious and GetFit Apps, Walken is dedicated to linking gaming and crypto to a healthy, active lifestyle.
