Crypto wallet of choice for the digital age, Metamask, is readying a huge update to its browser extension. Soon, NFT enthusiasts will have the ability to interact with their prized assets directly within the application.

This much-anticipated improvement will bring the browser extension up to speed with the mobile app, much in the same way that Coinbase recently implemented it. Meaning that NFT owners will no longer need to navigate to a hosting site to show off their portfolio of non-fungibleness, resulting in a one-stop-shop for viewing every asset linked to the Metamask wallet address.

Metamask currently has a user base in excess of 21 million, and has therefore established itself as the No1 wallet of choice for navigating the Web3 wilderness. However, to keep ahead of the game, the well-respected platform must continue to innovate, and expand its decentralized horizons.

In addition to this incredible update, rumours continue to abound with regards to a potential MetaMask token, with sources hinting at a massive airdrop to anyone having swapped tokens directly within the wallet. A function that nobody has ever used. However, a quick trip around twitter revealed a minefield of fake โ€œsupportโ€ channels offering the service already, likely with the intent of separating users from their hard-earned assets. Therefore, only follow announcements from official channels. If in any doubt, ignore them completely.
