Train in the Metaverse with OKX and Man City as they launch virtual training and more
In an exciting development for football fans, OKX has launched the ‘Train Like Dias’ metaverse experience. Featuring Manchester City player and OKX ambassador Rúben Dias, this immersive fan experience is the first of its kind from the OKX Collective.
“Train Like Dias” allows fans to learn from Rúben Dias’ favorite training techniques and will receive coaching and performance tips. Dias, the 2020/21 Premier League Player of the Season, has played as a defensive rock for City since 2020.
A Game-Changing Platform for Fan Interaction
The OKX Collective is a one-of-a-kind virtual metaverse environment that allows fans to dive into Web3 firsthand and gain access to exclusive content from Manchester City players such as Alex Greenwood, Ilkay Gündoğan, Jack Grealish, and Rúben Dias.
Rúben Dias expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “The OKX Collective is a unique way to bring fan interactions to the next level. Through the metaverse, we can give fans across the globe a glimpse into how I prepare for matchday and maybe how they can improve their own game.”
Haider Rafique, Global Chief Marketing Officer at OKX, shared his thoughts on the possibilities offered by Web3 technology: “The way ‘Train Like Dias’ brings Rúben and his fans closer together is another great example of what this technology allows. The OKX Collective is just getting started, and we can’t wait to reveal what Alex Greenwood, Ilkay Gündoğan, and Jack Grealish have in store for fans later this season.”
An All-Access Pass to Premier Content and Prizes
Upon visiting the virtual space, fans will enjoy memorable experiences tailored to each player’s playing style and personal interests. These include exclusive training content, music, and NFT-based digital experiences. Fans can also enter competitions to win coveted prizes, such as passes to team training and match tickets as Man City push hard for this season’s title. To enter the OKX Collective metaverse, fans must visit okx-metaverse.com and create their personalized avatar.
Last April, Manchester City revealed their new third alternative kit for the 2022-23 campaign in the metaverse on the gaming platform Roblox’s Land of Games.
