Shortly after announcing a launch date for its ‘First Trip’ tech demo, Otherside, the metaverse game being built around the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT IP,  has revealed that it will be initiating two ‘load tests’ in the lead up to the launch.

The load tests will take place on July 6th and July 9th, where as per their announcement, they will be conducted in order to find out where the current breaking point of the project lies. From here, an optimal level of user experience can be rendered before the ‘First Trip’ tech demo launch on July 16th.

The two load tests, as well as the First Trip tech demo itself, will only be on offer to desktop and laptop users in North America and Europe who hold at least one Otherdeed NFT. Participant numbers in the two tests will begin at 3,000, with 1,000 to be incrementally added every 2-3 minutes.

To compensate for the lack of international inclusion in the load tests and tech demo, there will be a private livestream for Voyagers (i.e. Otherdeed holders) who reside in non-supported regions to view. Viewers of such livestreams will be eligible to receive all of the benefits that will be attached to the First Trip tech demo.

Through referring to its description on the project’s Obelisk tab, the First Trip tech demo will be initiated by the project’s main developers Improbable, and will be ‘a celebration of what’s to come and an opportunity for Voyagers to gather, explore, and plan’.
