Pixion Games, the developer of the upcoming blockchain RPG game Fableborne just released the project’s Litepaper. Referred to as “The Fableborne Chronicle”, the litepaper contains detailed information about the gameplay, tokenomics, rewards, and the company’s strategy behind building this game.

Fableborne is a strategic base-building game in which players have to build bases, raid opponents, upgrade buildings, trade items, and NFTs, and compete against real players for rewards. The Avalanche-based game is expected to release in early 2023 and will be the first mobile game of Pixion Games. The official Fableborne trailer reveal will be happening soon, on September 8, 2022.

About Fableborne Game

Fableborne is a multiplayer action RPG game in which players have to strategize and build a solid base to defend their islands. The objective is to protect the base from enemies by launching attacks. Similar to Clash of Clans, the gameplay is asynchronous, which means players don’t compete against one another in real-time; instead, it connects players through competition.

Fableborne will offer NFT rewards to players in PvE tournaments and can also be purchased with in-game currency. In the game, players must search for bigger islands while building bases against the enemy. In addition, you can raid other players’ bases for resources in asynchronous PvP battles and boost skills by fighting in PvE boss battles.

Fableborne Base Building

The gameplay of Fableborne is based on the fictional world of Shatterlands. The Shatterlands world is simultaneously full of beauty and danger and consists of several small suspended islands on which players can build bases. There are four Factions that rule the world of Shatterlands. The four tribes are the United Tribes of Khalkalann, Commonwealth of Industraea, Kingdom of Arandraxis, and Subjects of Malanwe.

All playable characters in the world of Shatterlands are called Echoes. These Echoes can be used by players using battles to control Raids. The Echoes are upgradable NFT assets and are unique according to a player’s choices, skill, and resource investment. The proper selection of Echoes will help players win a battle and earn rewards.

Gameplay

In Fableborne, players have to explore the world of Shatterlands and claim islands rich in rarest materials. Players must venture out and search for multiple resources across islands as all resources will not be available on a single island. By collecting and upgrading resources, players can create a more substantial base to offer tough resistance to enemies.

Fableborne Gameplay

The game has a dual-stick control scheme and easy-to-use maps. Players can customize and upgrade bases, raid other players’ bases in asynchronous battles and fight in PvP challenges. Fableborne also allows players to trade resources, including islands, Echo characters, and other NFTs. The more you raid bases, the more resources you can gather.

The game starts on a broken realm of Shatterlands, the starting island for all players. Players can come across different islands, some may be empty, and some may be occupied. The bases must be built in such a way that the counter-defensive structures will be able to dodge off opponent characters easily.

The most important structure of a base is the Heart of the island, which indicates the island’s life. Players can choose to raid NPC islands where they must complete multiple stages of increasing difficulty and earn rewards by defeating bosses.

Echoes Characters

Players can upgrade the Echo characters to unlock Talents which are additional passive traits including Hit points, Movement speed, attack speed, and many others. In addition, players can use Gold and Element Stones earned from battles to upgrade Echoes.

The Echoes come in several rarities, including Common, Rare, and Epic. Each Echo is unique, and players completely own this NFT character. In Fableborne, Echoes have limited lives and can be revived by using in-game currencies.

Pixion League

Pixion Leagues is an in-game tournament in Fableborne in which players can participate to receive special rewards. The Pixion League will have a new rank system with high-risk, high-reward tournaments and real-value rewards that the developers will reveal later.

Fableborne Tokenomics

The Fableborne utility token, $FAB, can be used to upgrade and maintain Fableborne NFTs. NFTs come in different forms like Echoes, Items, or Islands, and different rarities reflect various traits. They can be used in-game, stored for later use, or sold on the open market.

From a development point of view, Fableborne takes advantage of Ethereum Improvement Standards (EIPs) such as:

  • ERC20 – Token Standards
  • ERC721, ERC115 – NFT Standards
  • ERC1822, ERC2981 – Marketplace

Furthermore, the developers have ensured that NFT tokens are compliant with other parties, such as OpenSea. The team is yet to release the token supply split, token flow diagrams & vesting periods-related information.
