One of the many benefits of NFTs is the fact that they allow fans of famous franchises to engage more with the content they love. For fans of the hit UK TV show Gangs of London, the holiday season will offer a huge blockchain-based treat. This comes as Sky, the TV channel that airs the show, has launched an NFT collection based on the hard hitting Gangs of London television series.
Details About the Collection
The new NFTs were visually designed by Ferenc Nothof, who illustrated the storyboard of the show’s second season, and feature images of major characters such as Elliot Carter, Koba, and Lale.
In total, the project has produced just 110 NFTs which it made available to Sky VIP members through a ballot on the show’s NFT site. Many famous TV franchises like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things have launched NFT collections as a way for these shows to connect with their fans.
As Lucy Johnstone, the Head of Marketing at Sky Entertainment, puts it, “As a Sky-first, and with gangs of London being a much-loved Sky Original, with a passionate fanbase, it was important we got it right. The team has done an amazing job of creating something unique and special that speaks to fans and provides value to our customers.”
