In collaboration with renowned graffiti artist and illustrator Katun — who has been creating apes long before they became popular in NFT land — Katun will host the Apes R’ Us NFT drop on his website, featuring 8,444 unique and hand-crafted ape NFTs, dropping on 1/25!

The “Original Ape Creator”

Apes have been all the rage in NFT land — and for a good reason: They are the perfect representation of the spirit of NFTs (and their holders). Did you know that one artist had been creating apes long before the NFT community embraced them? Well-known Malaysian artist Katun has been representing apes way before anyone else… ever since the early 2000s.

Thanks to his emotive, completely hand-drawn ape illustrations, Katun has built a strong reputation within the art world in recent years. As he stretched his wings globally, the Malaysian graffiti artist and illustrator has worked with renowned artists such as Chris Brown, Dua Lipa, Post Malone and collaborated with brands such as Vans, Marshall, Footlocker, KFC, Oppo, and many more!

Given Katun’s remarkable background and expressive ape characters, his foray into the NFT space has been met with a lot of excitement. During his first drop, hosted by SuperFarm, the limited “Apes Stand Strong” edition sold out within 35 minutes. In addition, 777 NFTs of the “Mythical Fruits” open edition were sold (more details here).

The Apes R’ Us Collection

Swinging through the metaverse with 8,444 apes in 2022, Apes R’ Us features bold, fun, and unique NFTs to match the personality and style of every NFT collector. The meticulously designed apes encompass everyday traits as well as limited 1:1 editions of some of the most iconic childhood characters, among them Batman Spongebob, and Spiderman!
