Topps to Celebrate MLB All-Star Week with Multiple NFT Offerings

To celebrate the 2022 MLB All-Star Week, trading card manufacturer Topps is launching an array of initiatives centred around NFTs. The efforts include an MLB All-Star Game NFT Collection, on-site MLB All-Star NFT giveaways, special prizes to those who engage with  games hosted by the Topps BUNT MLB Card Trader app, and a post-event collection challenge.

To celebrate the MLB All-Stars game taking place at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, the MLB All-Star Game NFT Collection will feature digital collectibles which feature California-inspired motifs of beach waves, stars, retrowave designs, and palm trees. The digital trading cards will range from Uncommon to Legendary in rarity, with the players featured on them being those who fans voted for in the first round of the All-Star Game fan voting. 

The collection launches on July 14th at 1PM EST, the day before the event kicks off with the Capital One All-Star Oceanfront. Later on in July, Topps is set to host an NFT collection challenge, where tasks will be based around the players in the collection, as well as the results of this year’s Home Run Derby and Midsummer Classic (with more information to be announced later this month). 

Another digital collectibles instalment from the celebration will be through the hand out of free 2022 Topps MLB All-Star Game Event NFTs at the Topps booth at the Capital One Play Ball Park on July 16th. 

On the same weekend, the Topps BUNT MLB Card Trader app will also be hosting interactive games which involve digital collectibles of fan-favourite MLB players. Those who complete the games will be eligible to receive a special Topps BUNT digital collectibles pack, as well as several physical prizes such as Topps BUNT sunglasses, Topps BUNT baseball-themed phone wallets, die-cut enamel pins and commemorative Topps BUNT Card art posters.
