Ten years on from perhaps the most dramatic kick of a football the Premier League has ever seen, Manchester City, the beneficiaries of the kick, are teaming up with their kit suppliers Puma to release an NFT to commemorate it.

Titled ’93:20,’ the NFT is of course based around the title-winning goal from the coveted Sergio Aguero, who was able to secure and snatch the championship away from Manchester United via an unforgettable sequence of play which ended in the ball hitting the back of the net as the clock hit 93 minutes and 20 seconds.

Created by the brilliance of Belgian visual artist Musketon, the singular, 1/1 NFT undertakes a unique theme which encapsulates the essence of the historic moment, as clockwork cogs, Manchester City artwork, and Aguero’s goal-scoring boots serve as its most prominent features.

Although Puma, the current kit suppliers of Manchester City, were not associated with the club back in 2012, the hero in question, Sergio Aguero, was, as he was wearing a pair of PUMA v1.11 football boots when he scored the unforgettable goal.

The convenient coincidence has facilitated the launch of 120 limited edition and commemorative pairs of Puma ULTRA football boots, which each feature the iconic ‘Manchester City are still alive here’ commentary from English commentator Martin Tyler, as well as a custom 93:20 graphic on the outside of the boot, and the famous ‘Agueroooooooo!’ line on its footbed. The owner of the NFT will also receive a pair of these limited edition boots.

The 93:20 NFT will drop on MakersPlace NFT marketplace on Friday 13th May 2022, exactly ten years on from the incredible footballing moment.
