I am a self-taught Fine Art Portrait Photographer, with over 15 years of experience, from the Azores islands, Portugal. I am passionate about empowering women on web3 and beyond. My personal artwork has been published in various international magazines and I have received bronze and silver awards from the Portrait Masters competition.

In March 2021, I founded a group dedicated to supporting women artists in the NFT space called NFT Goddesses. In our community we provide a safe space for women to chat, be themselves and share their artwork. I am proud to say we have become a sisterhood.

In our group we also focus on creating projects for the social good. We recently created a humanitarian aid fundraiser for Ukraine, in which 87 women participated and we were able to raise 7.5 ETH so far

Where are you from?

I am from the Azores islands in Portugal, though I lived in the UK for almost 12 years before returning to my homeland in 2018.

What is your favorite thing to do on a weekend?

If I say NFTs and Twitter is that too much? I gotta say I’ve become somewhat addicted. But I also love walking in and connecting with nature. I really like going to places I have never seen before, finding new beauty and possible locations to photograph. I also love doing various kinds of crafts and cooking, which relax me.

Drifting Away – On Foundation

One thing you cannot live without?

Photography and my family, which includes my husband (also an artist) and our cats.

Who is your favorite artists (Non NFT)?

The Photographer Miss Aniela, who always takes my breath away in terms of conception, innovation and colour.

Who is your favorite NFT artist?

There are too many to name. The amount of talent in the NFT space is insane.

What made you pursue NFT art?

Once I realised what NFTs were, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I can still feel in my body the excitement I felt when I minted my first piece. Also the opportunities it gives can be really life-changing.  And who doesn’t want to live off of their passion?

What is the one piece of NFT art you wish you had purchased but missed out on?

There is this piece by Linda Kristianse called Mermaid Stories which I still regret not buying and of course, an Ape.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

I would go to Greece. Since I was a child I have been fascinated by their ancient temples and mythology. Plus their food is delicious.

What is the biggest NFT you have sold?

My photographic artwork representing the Hindu Goddess Kali, which sold for 2 ETH.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Maybe just to tell people to focus on the work they want to create and not what they think others will buy. Also to remember to enjoy your journey in this space. Connect with different people in the community and build relationships that will last for years to come.
