World-renowned soft drinks company Coca Cola has launched an NFT collection in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. Titled ‘The Coca Cola Pride Collection,’ the project is comprised of celebratory digital art pieces which aim to shine colour-filled light on to the community’s members and spread a message of love.

The collection consists of 136 unique NFTs which have been designed and commissioned by South African designer and human rights activist Rich Mnisi. Each NFT features the infamous glass Coca Cola bottle as its centrepiece, with the asset’s distinguishability coming through the unique and bountiful explosions of colours which reside within and around the bottles. For Mnisi, he has used the idea of un-destroyable (and only ever transferable) energy as inspiration behind the artworks, in order to pay homage to the permanence but also free-flowing nature of love.

The NFTs can be minted on the Polygon Network on the project’s website here, or on OpenSea, where the floor price sits at 0.148 ETH at the time of writing. All proceeds from the initial sale of the NFTs will be donated to charities which serve the LGBTQIA+ community, such as OUT, a South African charity chosen by Rich Mnisi which provides the LGBTQIA+ community in the country with physical and mental healthcare.
