NBA giants Utah Jazz have announced their inking of a partnership with cryptocurrency exchange and fintech firm CoinZoom. The deal will see CoinZoom become the official cryptocurrency platform and NFT marketplace for all future NFT releases from the professional basketball team.
The partnership will also entail a novel and unique twist to it, as since its inking, there are plans to place a QR code on each seat in the Vivint Arena (Utah Jazz’s home stadium). Through scanning the QR code whilst they attend the Jazz’s home matches, fans will be granted easy access to Jazz NFTs, the CoinZoom app, and many other innovative features.
To make things even easier for fans to engage with the Jazz’s NFT endeavours, there will be a myriad of payment options available, including credit cards, wires, ACH, direct deposits, and more than 40 other cryptocurrencies, meaning there will be no need for an external wallet, nor any knowledge of crypto. CoinZoom has also ensured that fans won’t incur gas fees when making purchases.
Utah Jazz president Jim Olson has since spoken on the partnership, which is set to launch later this season: “The partnership with CoinZoom gives us the ideal platform to expand our NFT offerings and connect with a larger community of Jazz enthusiasts in a new way. Through technology, we can bring more innovative and creative experiences to our fan base in a fun environment. With CoinZoom, we will be excited to deliver our next phase of NFT collectibles to the public later this season”.
As you may’ve also expected, the partnership will also see the CoinZoom brand enter into the marketing initiatives embedded into Utah Jazz’s media reach, including in signage across the Vivant Arena, features on the Jazz app, social media mentions, and merchandise.
