Leading Web3 collecting and trading ecosystem, Crypto.com, has launched an NFT collection to assist victims of recent earthquakes in Turkey. Dubbed “The Art of Giving II,” this open-edition collection will run from February 21 to March 2, 2023, at 23:59 UTC. Each piece in the collection will go for $50, and all proceeds from the sale will be donated to victims of these natural disasters.

To create the collection, Crypto.com partnered with 55 top Web3 artists, who each contributed various art pieces. These works will be sold on Crypto.com’s NFT marketplace. Supporters of this initiative can visit the marketplace and buy the NFTs using a credit/debit card or crypto through Crypto.com Pay. All proceeds will be donated to Ahbap’s ERC20 wallet.

This is the second time Crypto.com is working towards supporting victims of the Turkey earthquakes. Recently, the platform donated ₺1 million through Ahbap’s ERC20 wallet in an event organized by Haluk Levent.

Crypto.com NFTs Bring Aid to Earthquake Victims in Turkey

Crypto.com Is Happy To Help Out

Speaking on this humanitarian effort, Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com, notes, “The suffering and devastation brought on by the earthquakes in Turkey are unimaginable, and we want to do our part to help support the humanitarian efforts.”

He goes on to add that “we are thrilled to partner with more than 50 artists to raise funds through our platform and invite our community to help join these efforts through the sale.”

Over 47,000 people have lost their lives in the recent earthquakes that continue to devastate Turkey. The first 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck on February 6 near the Turkish city of Antakya. It effectively destroyed the city, leaving it virtually uninhabitable. Since then, millions of people have fled the affected areas to safer locations. However, on February 20, two more tremors struck, creating widespread anxiety and panic for those that were already coming to terms with the devastation.

Crypto.com’s efforts are much welcomed as Turkey and Syria, the two nations affected by these quakes, can use all the help they can get. Anyone can support this noble initiative by visiting Crypto.com and snapping up a piece of the “The Art of Giving II” collection.
