Contemporary visual artist Edgar Plans is teaming up with content provider Exile to launch an NFT collection based on his work, Lil’ Heroes. Curatible, a team of art collectors who bridge the gap between traditional art and the digital realm, are also helping facilitate the collaboration.
The collection will be launched in January 2022, and will feature unique hand-drawn NFTs, all of which have over 200 different attributes. The launch is also hoped to be followed by a multi-phase roll-out of a children’s entertainment franchise, which will offer fans of the vibrant and lively big-eyed Lil’ Heroes characters, an animated children’s series, a virtual metaverse experience and other consumer products and publishing.
Madrid-born Plans is best known for his colourful cartoon characters known as The Animal Heroes, and has also had his works featured in multiple key galleries and museums across Paris, Brussels, Shanghai, Moscow, and Barcelona. The artist expressed his excitement to bring the unique NFT collection to life: “Lil’ Heroes is a collection inspired by the work I’ve created throughout my time as an artist, and I can’t wait to share that art with a new audience and explore how we can build on this franchise in the entertainment space.”
Exile is a leading content provider for English and Spanish speaking audiences. Their collaboration with Plans is said to be part of their long-term strategy. Daniel Eilemberg, President of Content at the company, stated:
