Centuries old purveyor of fine port, Graham’s, has announced its first ever venture into the NFT realm. In celebration of 50 years stewardship by the Symington family, it has launched 50 extra special Port cases, authenticated as non-fungible tokens.

Starting from July 24, collectors can get their hands on a limited-edition case containing two bottles of anniversary grade Port. The first bottle harks back to 1970, and is one of the first batch of wine created under the Symington family stewardship, while the second bottle comes from the 2020 anniversary edition, created 50 years later.

Out of the 50 cases available, Graham’s has made 44 available exclusively at its facility at Graham’s lodge in Portugal. Each of which, will unlock extra benefits for its owner, such as a whitelist place for the next drop, and 6 free guided tours and tastings at Graham’s lodge. Of those 44 cases, 3 will also include a private visit for 4 to Quinta dos Malvedos, Graham’s principal estate in the Douro Valley for a guided tour coupled with tutored wine tasting.

6 Bottles of Graham’s Port Venture Farther Afield

The remaining 6 cases of Graham’s celebratory port will venture further afield, with 5 reserved for sale on the WineChain Web3 platform. Meanwhile, the final item will head to the Golden Vines Online Auction in support the Gerrard Basset Foundation. Each featuring it own, as yet unspecified, utility.

This tasty new project comes in collaboration with the cutting-edge Club dVIN collectible wine platform. Through the exciting partnership, the company has embedded each bottle in the collection with its own near-field communication (NFC) chip. This chip not only guarantees the items authenticity, but also allows owners to access their NFTs by tapping the chip with their phones.

So, thirsty folks with a taste for fine Port can head to Graham’s now, and bag themselves some of the best wine in town!
