In the three weeks since the last DAO Committee report, two points of interest (POI) have been added to the Decentraland map, five grant proposals were approved, and 10 community polls have passed.

Amid ongoing community debate over the price of names and associated voting power, the DAO has officially voted to reform its proposal process for issues that do yet have an established voting category. This process will now include three distinct stages, with increasing proposal submission and passage thresholds. The UX for this process has been designed and is currently under development.

The DAO will hold its monthly town hall on Thursday January 13 at 4:30pm EST (9:30 PM UTC). This event will be held in the Decentraland Discord server’s town hall channel.

Second, a “Draft Proposal,” which will facilitate deeper discussions about the proposal’s rationale, impacts and implementation pathways. Third, a binding “Governance Proposal,”  which will include a detailed description of impacts and feasible implementation pathways in order to help the community make informed and implementable decisions.

The UX for implementing has been designed and is currently being deployed by the DAO’s governance dApp team. It is not yet known when it will be fully completed, however, in the interim period, polls that do not pass a 500K VP threshold, will not be considered for implementation by the DAO Committee.
