Enthusiastic NFT Collector? Love scavenger hunts? A unique contest is underway for NFT treasure hunt lovers. Montreal-based electronic music festival, ‘Igloofest‘ has come up with a fun-filled contest to mark its 15th anniversary. In partnership with Mega Labs, collectible Yetis are hidden in the Igloo Village, which festival attendees must locate by exploring five different locations.

As the frosty nights and winter chills set in, thoughts of the elusive Yeti come to mind. The Igloofest festival capitalizes on this with their unique ‘Yeti Hunt’ experience. Attendees of the music festival will have the opportunity to collect NFTs, created on the Polygon blockchain, featuring individual images of Yetis inspired by the festival’s winter themes. Let’s get to the specifics:

What you need to know

Attendees have to collect 21 distinct Yetis, with one Yeti arriving per weekend for each of the five activities. Those participating can claim their NFT by scanning a QR code which is available at each of the five activity spaces at the festival. As such, fun-packed locations will include activities like the Sapporo ice slide, the Vidéotron marshmallow roast, the National Bank Igloogym, the Poppers Iglooswag photo booth, and the Vidéotron stage.

The more Yetis you hunt and collect, the greater your chances of winning prizes and rewards, with top prizes including:

  • Igloofest Quebec trip for two which also includes passes for the 3-day festival. The sponsored trip will also include train transportation via Rail, a pair of Igloofest hats, and two nights at Hilton Quebec.
  • Free entry to one of the Igloofest night clubs
  • Access to Friday and Saturday night Après-Ski clubs
  • Free pass for any Piknic Électronik 2023, worth $250 each
