Quintessential New York musicians, the Goo Goo Dolls, have launched into their own NFT collection to celebrate their forthcoming summer tour with a series of digital collectibles.

All in all, the consummate rock band has released 2,200 NFTs for its fans to collect, each featuring one of 44 unique designs taking inspiration from its forthcoming album ‘Chaos in Bloom’. As a result, substituting the world ‘bloom’ for the cities in the tour as an animated artwork morphs to reveal further information regarding each show.

According to the band, users can only acquire the NFTs by scanning QR codes hidden at the shows. However, a little digging has revealed the entire collection available for purchase in the Fanaply platform right now for $25 apiece. For those interested, the tour will commence on July 15, culminating on September 24 in their home town of Buffalo, New York, while the new album will arrive on August 12.

The environmentally conscious outfit has ensured that all of the NFTs are minted on the eco-friendly Polygon network. However, judging by social media comments, the biggest barrier they face is that their fanbase doesn’t know what NFTs are.
