Okay Bears, a Solana-based NFT collection, has announced a partnership with a global health organization (RED) to release new merchandise to help fund international health efforts. The collaboration is a significant step towards using NFTs for philanthropy and tackling crucial global issues. The collection will feature hoodies, T-shirts, and wristbands with (RED) branding, with a portion of the proceeds donated to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

Greg Sheps, Head of Business Development at (RED), views the partnership as an innovative way to fundraise, leveraging NFT art to generate more money and raise awareness to combat AIDS, pandemics, and other global health issues. “If we want to end the threat of AIDS, we must think outside the box, meet consumers where they are, and create new and exciting collaborations that generate more money and more heat to fight AIDS and the injustices that enable the pandemics to thrive,” said Sheps.

The Okay Bears and (RED) collaboration demonstrates the potential of NFTs to raise awareness and funds for critical global issues. It also highlights the platform’s potential for positive social change through philanthropic purposes. With more partnerships like this, NFTs can be a powerful fundraising tool and fight some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Okay Bears- A Top Solana-Based NFT Project

With a floor price of 199 $SOL and a trading volume of 2.3 million $SOL at the time of writing, Okay Bears has instated its position as one of the top projects on Magic Eden Marketplace. Apart from the partnership with (RED), Okay Bears has expanded its IP into partnerships and real-world experiences.

In August, the project launched its first airdrop for NFT holders, offering a distinct digital collectible called the Founders Coin. The Founders Coin allows users to exchange their NFTs for the corresponding gold value, with each NFT randomly linked to a gold weight of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 5, or 10g.

Okay Bears had also previously partnered with entertainment company IMG in July to introduce new products for the collection, with IMG as the exclusive global licensing agent for the project’s 10,000 fashionably dressed bears available as PFP NFTs.
