After making its announcement back in March, the WWE’s Moonsault NFT platform is now live, meaning its foray into officially licensed NFTs has officially begun. Upon its launch day on May 27th, the platform kicked things off by rewarding the first 10,000 fans to create a wallet on the site with a free Moonsault Genesis NFT, and now swiftly after, its launching a dynamic NFT collection based on the upcoming ‘Hell in a Cell’ match which takes place on June 5th.

Powered by Eluvio’s eco-friendly blockchain, the collection in question is a 10,000+ compilation of ‘NFT Flips,’ with each NFT centred around a superstar that will be performing at the event.

In wake of the event, and once scores are settled and shoulders have been pinned, each NFT Flip will be transformed into a 10-20 second highlight clip of the respective superstar in action, which will then be sold on Moonsault in ‘Cases’ of three.

Each ‘Case’ will be randomly sorted, and will cost $30 to mint, meaning each NFT Flip will essentially cost $10 apiece, although it is unclear as to whether they can be individually listed on secondary marketplaces.

A release date for the collection is not found on the Moonsault site, however fans can expect minting to take place in and around June 5th. According to the company, the NFT Flips and ‘Cases’ concept will be featured in future Moonsault drops too.

Although it’s the first official NFT drop on the Moonsault marketplace, the WWE has already ventured into NFTs through its partnership with sports collectibles manufacturer Fanatics, which saw the launch of a wide array of wrestling-themed merchandise.

The entertainment institution is also one-for-one when it comes to its official NFT offerings, as its Moonsault Genesis collection has a current value of over $1.47 million.
