This weekend welcomes our very first Game Week featuring Africa’s biggest football tournament. Yes, the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Game Week 234 and we can’t wait!

Here’s what we have planned. 👀

AFCON Player Drop 🔭
Until midnight tonight (Thursday 6th 00:00 CET) we’ll have constant AFCON player auctions featuring the 110 licensed Sorare players playing at the tournament. This is your chance to make those last minute signings ahead of this weekend.

Where will AFCON players score?
Players with AFCON fixtures will be scored when select in All Star tournaments (Global tournaments and U23) and the AFCON Special Weeklies. They will not score if selected in Regions.

In some cases a player’s club game fixture rather than their international fixture will be visible when building your lineups. Please ignore this. If your player is at the AFCON, they will be scored for their national team performance.

In the event that one of your players has two fixtures in the same Game week, please read our double game week article.

We’ll have an AFCON Special Weekly for the duration of the AFCON group stage rounds. 🔥

Special Weekly Game Week 234
To open up in style, this weekend’s event is extra special. The Top 10 Managers in the Special Weekly will win a Player Of The Year edition Limited card of a player playing at the AFCON. Four players at the tournament made our Top 100 list for 2021.

But that’s not all! The remaining Top 100 Managers will each win a Limited card of a player playing at the AFCON. We’re looking forward to watching another International tournament with you! Keep your eyes peeled for more news.
